Construction work on phase two of Waverley office park in South Africa to begin

 Barrow Properties broke ground for construction work on the second phase of Waverley office park in South Africa measuring 3 351m² and 2 123m2. This will create a rentable area of 5 742m² with completion expected for June 2016.

According to the MD of Barrow Properties, Paul Barrow,Waverley office park in South Africa  will incorporate features which will appeal to the corporate tenants.
 
The building has incorporated the extensive use of glass and architectural accent in bold colour giving it a modern look. It has 284 parking bays in a parking basement and there is manned access control with a perimeter bound by an electric fence for security purposes.
 
The building also has outdoor balconies on the upper floors and ground floor terraces below. It has landscaped gardens featuring indigenous plants that surround the building.
 
It has a full power backup using diesel generators and back up water tanks located on the roof. It also has energy efficient lighting, and architecture which optimizes natural light in all offices.
 
Throughout the building, 6mm low E glass has been used in order reduce the effects of heat and noise, while double glazing on all west-facing windows provides further protection against the sun. The building is able to make use of either split or VRFV air conditioning.
 
Basement storerooms provide additional storage space for tenants allowing for efficient space utilisation of office floor areas.
 
Its location is idea given that tenants will have access to the M1 highway, one of South Africa’s busiest motorways in the business capital.
 
The office park also gives access to Sandton, Rosebank and Johannesburg CBDs and is also minutes away to facilities such as Melrose Arch, schools and shopping centres.
